A former Detroit principal apologized to God this morning before being sentenced to two years in prison for taking $194,000 in kickbacks from a vendor.
“I would like to apologize to God, that’s first, for letting my guard down. I know God has always been on my side, and I know right from wrong,” Clara Smith said in U.S. District Court in Detroit.
