Rev. Mayowa Lisa Reynolds is a Minister, Educator, and Artist. Ordained in 2005, Reynolds currently serves as Associate Minister at Fellowship Chapel under the mentorship and direction of Pastor, Reverend Dr. Wendell Anthony. “Mama Mayowa” as she is affectionately called is highly committed to fulfill her spiritual passion. She is actively engaged at Fellowship Chapel as, a vacation bible school teacher; liaison for Women’s Christian Fellowship; and the “Intonjane” coming into womanhood – “Rites of Passage” program; and Chairperson of the James E. Wadsworth Jr., Community Center (JEWJCC).
A consummate of education. Reynolds is a graduate of the Detroit Public Schools, and obtained her Radio and Television certification from Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts. Mayowa obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Education, and a Masters in the Art of Teaching, both from Marygrove College. She also attended Ashland Theological Seminary and is currently a doctoral candidate at Ecumenical Theological Seminary. Her vast education also includes studies in New Orleans, LA with the Urban Bush Women of Brooklyn, NY.
With a zeal and drive to teach and lead. Mayowa has been an educator in the City of Detroit for over 25 years. As an administrator, she served as Assistant Principal at Glazer Elementary and Dean of Enrollment, Arts, and Accountability at the Detroit School of the Arts. Currently, she is the Dance Teacher at the world renowned, Cass Technical High School. Rev. Reynolds continually utilizes her artistic skills as a medium to inform the masses. She recently performed in the one woman play “Passing,” the life story of Minerva Roulhac, which deals with issues of race, education, family and love. Her teachings include, lectures and workshop facilitation on history, religion and culture.
Rev. Mayowa Lisa Reynolds is married with four children and one grandchild. Her accolades include numerous credits in radio and television broadcast productions. She is also the recipient of a multitude of awards including, The Catherine Bicknell Fellowship to Benin, West Africa; Distinguished Student; and Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities.

I am a servant leader in constant transformation towards the goal of the high calling in Christ Jesus and I am grateful for the privilege to fulfill my calling as a Minister, an Educator, and an Artist. I love being referred to as “Mama Mayowa,” as it is the greatest title to live up to as I serve the community every day.”
Rev. Reynolds is a sought after minister, teacher and counselor. She has been invited to preach at various churches throughout the nation, bringing her passion and commitment for excellence along with her compassion and love for people. She offers counseling for all ages and situations in a professional and safe environment.
