Three people were killed Wednesday morning when a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction caused a deadly crash on southbound I-75 at I-94 in Detroit.

Police said driver Leeanna Monic Custard, 34, of New Baltimore, and passengers Karl Louis Hawkins, 23, of Pontiac, and Elijah Duane Holden, 21, of Auburn Hills, were killed in the crash.

A 22-year-old Pontiac man and 24-year-old Pontiac man were critically injured.

The southbound side of I-75 was shut down to traffic for hours but has since reopened.
