Four Titans scored in double figures Saturday afternoon, but the University of Detroit Mercy women’s basketball team fell at home to visiting Western Michigan University by a 75-65 margin from Calihan Hall.

Junior forward Brianne Cohen led Detroit Mercy (4-6) with 17 points and seven rebounds, while senior Rosanna Reynolds tallied her eighth double-digit effort of the season with 16 points. Junior Nicole Urbanick added 15 points and sophomore Lola Ristovski posted a season-high 10 points off the bench for the Titans.

Detroit Mercy scored eight of the first 12 points of the game, jumping out to an 8-4 lead just three minutes into the contest. It was a back-and-forth first quarter with the lead changing twice and the game being tied four different occasions as the Titans trailed 16-13 after one quarter. Kelsey Mitchell had four blocks in the first quarter alone, setting a single-game career-high in the first 10 minutes of the contest.
